Export MapInfo Data
This option allows you to export each data type (Lines, Parcels, Lot Numbers, Easements and Control) to seperate MapInfo files.
Each data type to be exported must first be selected by ticking the selection box and then selecting 'Browse...' to browse to the location where the file is to be saved.
The program will write seperate Mapinfo transfer files (.MID and .MIF) for each data type selected.
Export Lines
When exporting Lines, you have the option of including the connections and/or the radial lines in the export. If these line types are to be included in the export, then the selection box for each needs to be ticked.
In the .MID file, the following columns are stored for each line:
- Lot Number on the left
- Lot Number on the right
- Parcel Tag for the lot
- Line code
Export Parcels
When exporting Parcels, you have the option of including the line points and/or the historical parcels in the export.
If these are to be included in the export, then the selection box for each needs to be ticked.
If Line Points are being included, then the line points on each parcel or easement in the job will be included in the export.
When Line Points are being included, a 'Search Limit' can be specified.
Line points are handled as follows:
- If a line point exists for the particular line being tested (that is they both have the same end point records) it will be adopted and exported.
- If the line point has been generated for another line and its offset is within the search limit and the distance from the line point to the nearest end point is greater than the search limit, then it will also be adopted and exported.
In the .MID file, the following columns are stored for each parcel:
- Lot Number/Plan Number
- Plan Number
- Lot Number
- UserID
- Stated Area
- Parcel Tag
- If the parcel is marked as Historical
- If the parcel is marked as Compiled
- If the parcel is marked as Unclosed
- Survey Date
- Plan Units
- Parcel Accuracy
Export Lot Numbers
In the .MID file, the following columns are stored for each parcel:
Export Easements
When exporting Easements, you have the option of including the line points in the export. If these are to be included in the export, then the selection box for needs to be ticked.
If Line Points are being included, then the line points on each easement in the job will be included in the export.
When Line Points are being included, a 'Search Limit' can be specified.
See how line points are handled by referring to 'Export Parcels' above.
In the .MID file, the following columns are stored for each easement:
- Lot Number/Plan Number
- Plan Number
- Lot Number
- Stated Area
- Easement Type (Parcel Tag)
- Survey Date
- Plan Units
- Parcel Accuracy
Export Control Points
In the .MID file, the following columns are stored for each control point:
- Name
- Easting
- Northing
- Height
- Accuracy
- Zone
- Datum
Queensland Options
This option is selected if the data being exported is Queensland data.
The Parcel ID for Queensland data does not require a slash to be used to seperate the lot number and plan number.
In Queensland, there are a variety of plan types each with an alpha prefix so this is used as the delimiter instead of a slash (which is what is used in NSW).
Example: In NSW, for lot 10 DP23456 - the Parcel ID for this would be 10/23456. In QLD, for lot 10 RP23456 - the Parcel ID would be 10RP23456.
If 'Queensland Options' is not selected, the program will insert the slash between the lot number and plan number.
